Fun in the sun on Flathead Lake

If you have never been to Flathead lake in Montana, you need to add it to your "must visit" list. It's such a gorgeous lake. The water is crystal clear with that aqua coloring to it. Other then just playing in the water, you can hike Wild Horse island and if you're lucky, you can see big horn sheep, deer, and possibly the heard of wild horses. There are also a dozen cute little towns around the lake to explore with wineries and breweries. We had a nice relaxing weekend, enjoying the water and family.

First night, we had to have Steak and potatoes cooked on the fire. There were no complaints from this little guy.

There is something about being in the woods and cooking your meat over an open flame that just makes it taste amazing.

My boy and his trucks!!

Grandpa Dale and Haylie headed to Wild Horse island with us to go for a hike.

Saw quite a few Bald Eagles.

Headed up the trail.

An old homestead on the island

Ewes  staying cool in the shade.

Look at all those Rams

The one in the very back had the biggest curl

Some big bucks

Most of the crew, Grandma Sue's knee couldn't take the hiking.

Another group of Sheep that we passed on our way out.

3 little babies

Darren and Addison riding on the jet ski.

Addison was a pretty good driver.

Mom, testing out the sumo tube

Darren is going to give it a try.

Addison looks a little concerned for her Daddy.

Hahaha, you need to flip over Darren

Can you guess how this is going to go??

Umm where did he go?

We were laughing so hard! It pretty much drowned you.

Another go

Almost!!

All she is missing is a glass of wine in her hand.
Laughing at her silly Dad.

My handsome boy. (Taran took some adorable pictures of the little ones)

Darren gave up on the Sumo tube and tried wake boarding instead.

He was a little more successful.

My beautiful niece!

Tom's turn to wake board.

Took Clayton and Haylie for a ride on the jet ski.

Can't get enough of these cuties.

Tom is brave enough to try the sumo tube. However, we determined that we needed to pull it with a boat, for more power.

Honestly it doesn't look like much fun.

Finally he is planed out.

And over he goes.

On our last day we boated up to the Indian hieroglyphics.
