A Fun, HOT Weekend.

We floated the Coeur d'Alene river on Saturday and rode horses on Sunday. The whole family went floating and we all had an excellent time.
Haylie had a blast floating the river.
The whole group, (well part of it)

Pretty cliffs we floated by.

Hayile either swam or walked most of the float.

Armed and dangerous!

Sunday we went for a ride by Beauty Bay on Coeur d'Alene lake. It was a little too steep but we did make it to the top.
View of CDA lake. We kept climbing and climbing.

We need another horse.

Can you see that red dot? That would be our truck.

Getting higher.

Finally at the top.

Best riding partner EVER! Even if she insisted in wearing a skirt with her boots.

It was so hot that day, that we decided to cool the horses off in the lake.

Haylie thought it was pretty fun to swim with the horses.

So did Tom.

Our new resting place.

Everyone keeps asking for pictures of the nice little 5 acre place we were lucky enough to rent.It made living in a tent for a month worth it. The house has 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, and an unfinished basement that has a wood stove for heat. It also has a detached 2 car garage. My favorite feature of the whole place is the 1 acre of lawn and 4 acres of pasture. We have 5 apple trees, 3 plumb trees, 1 walnut tree, 2 huge maples, and a row of lilac bushes. The whole 5 acres is also fenced to where our dog has free roam of the whole place. Despite the fact that we are right in the middle of town, we feel like we are out of town. All our neighbors to the south of us, have cute little 5+ acre farms. We are thoroughly enjoying our little rental.
Our sweet little home.

The view from the end of the drive.
Looking down the drive. On the left is one of the Maple trees and the Lilacs line the road and block the view.

Garage

The yard is so big I can't capture it in one photo. Haylie's horse tire swing. We also have a  10x14 shed and a barn that looks like a facade from the front and is none usable (in fear it will fall over) but it does provide shad and shelter for the horses.

The lump/hole looking thing is the future site of a fire ring/pit. A previous dirt pile that was never smoothed out before the lawn took over. Our landlord said we could dig it out and turn it into a fire pit.

More yard and a corner of the garage that has a lean too for wood storage.

This is looking East. The houses are where our property stops. It doesn't look very far in this picture but there is quite a bit of land between.

This is facing West.

Back of the house. I love having a cloths line. We do have issues with the in ground sprinkler system (work in progress) but the field irrigation sprinklers do an excellent job of watering the yard.

Enjoying having the horses in our back yard again.

Haylie and Hawkeye enjoying a jaunt around the pasture and a little RnR together. We are so happy to have our horses in our back yard again.
My horse is so fat he has dimples in his butt.

This view is taken facing south. The West and the South sides of our rental are the only two sides that have not sacrificed their land to subdivisions.

I mowed a box and 2 clover leaf patterns in to the field so she had a place to practice her riding.

Hawkeye and her are doing quite well together.
