A very Special Gift

If you have been keeping track of my blog or my past facebook account, you should know or have heard of our very dear and extremely talented family friend, Karen Platner. Karen designs and sews children apparel.  Her signature pieces are her exquisite hand smocked dresses. Karen has 3 beautiful granddaughters that get to reap her talents. Upon spotting a picture of the very cute custom made wool coats she created for her granddaughters, I knew Haylie had to have one for her wardrobe. Haylie is now a proud owner of an adorable swing dress coat. The coat is TOTALLY Haylie. Words alone can't express our gratitude.

*** If you would like to see more or order an item please check out Karen's blog; http://karen-robynseggblue.blogspot.com/

It passes the "swing" test

"Oh mom!" (the dress she is wearing was also created by Karen)

She loved running and having it flying up behind her.

Pictures are done, Snowball fight!! (she just clobbered Tom with a snowball)

Here it comes Daddy!

Now its mom's turn.
(please excuse the focus, I was running backwards  trying to take pictures and avoid snowballs.)

Veterans Day Assembly

In honor of our veterans, the Hayden Kinder Center put on a little Veterans Day assembly. Haylie had been practicing the two songs they were to sing for weeks and extremely excited that her daddy was able to attend.

So serious

Can you tell who they are presenting to now?

Overall there 8 veterans; 6 with grandchildren and 2 with children attending this school

Pumpkins & Peacocks

Getting ready to carve her pumpkin

Digging out the guts

After the first handful she refused to scoop any more out with her hands.

Watch out she has a knife

Haylies mommy cat and then she did a baby cat.

Haylie wanted to do a silly picture.

A spider, 2 cats and one that says "Wurtz" (It needed to be darker for mine to show up)

Grandma and Grandpa's house first.

Princess of the Peacocks

Next up was Aunt Taran and Uncle Darren's

Taran's cats were fascinated with all of Haylies feathers

Then to the church for the Harvest Party.
