8 year old Birthday girl!!

Happy 8th birthday Haylie Ann Wurtz!!

I'm embarrassed to admit how spoiled my daughter is. A new saddle and a new horse. Haylie has been dreaming of one day owning a black horse. In fact she has even been saving all her money in hopes of buying one, one day. It just so happened that the right horse, in the right color was offered to us. Needless to say Haylie was speechless. (that doesn't happen often.)
She was also in need of a bigger saddle and thanks to her grandparents, she now has a nice saddle to go with her new horse. Happy Birthday sweet daughter. Your smile, laughter and loving heart bring so much joy to our family.

Welcome to the family Ink.

Uncle Dan got her a cool bag to pack her grooming tools in.

It was super windy and the tissue paper was blowing away. Clayton had fun chasing it down.

Grandma Sue and Grandpa Dale came over for some fishing.

This is from a couple of weekends before. Levi, Katlyn, Dale and Sue came over for a fishing weekend.

Filleting fish.... Side note - when I originally posted this I spelled filleting - flaying. Tom pointed out my mistake. I told him I wanted to look up the definition of the term I used so here it goes: Flaying, also known colloquially as skinning, is the removal of skin from the body. Generally, an attempt is made to keep the removed portion of skin intact. This article deals with flaying in the sense of torture and execution of humans...... What a morbid word. Next time I won't rely on spell check. 😀

We couldn't wait to try Ink out on a few trails. It was so nice that the whole family got to go.
