Loving my yard!

Living on 5 acres has its perks. I get to tinker in my yard as much as I want. The house we are in needed some serious up dating to the over grown flower garden/landscaping. A little hard work, ingenuity, and a few treasures and our little farm house is starting to look pretty sharp! Oh and I mustn't forget to mention, we now have CHICKENS!!!

One of my bird feeders Tom made me has a place on the top for succulents. I finally  added the plants after Haylie used that space to hold peanuts for the squirrel, now I just need to train that squirrel to leave my plants alone. Good thing succulents are hardy.

Our house numbers are on the house and everyone drives right on by the house. Not anymore...now I can say, we live at the house with the cute wheelbarrow full of flowers and the darling red bird house. (Another one of Tom's bird house creations)
Tipsy Pots. Tom and I had this whipped out in 1 hour. (minus the flowers) Not sure if you can see it in the picture but  there is water flowing from the top pitcher.
A few treasures I acquired in Montana. Still need a few little things to complete the look and I'm missing my other horseshoe flower, its getting a new coat of paint.

Another Montana treasure. Just need to add a few potted plants around my rocks and it will be finished.

We have lots of fruit trees on the property. The blooms this spring were, in Haylie's word..."Marvelous!"

What style she has.

One of my cute bird houses.

Check out this darling chicken coop!!!

I even found the perfect sign...."I dream of the day when the chicken doesn't need an excuse to cross the road"

Yes that is a pigeon in with our girls. The pigeon aka "Compass" is a tagged homing pigeon from Oklahoma. He was hooping around our field with a broken wing. After contacting the American racing pigeon association, Compass is now here to stay.

Pretty Girls.
