It's beginning to look a little like Christmas!

December is here and its time to find our Christmas tree. Of course the only weekend that Tom had off happened to be the weekend we have 3 degree weather with a -12 windchill. Needless to say we were a bit nuts to be out in the elements. Tom did some "pre tree scouting" during hunting season this year and had marked this beauty on his gps back in October. This made Christmas tree shopping a little less time consuming. As usual I wanted to use this time to also take a few family photos and much requested baby bump photos. I have to hand it to my family; not only did we hike 2 miles round trip in a foot of snow for the "perfect" Christmas tree, we did it in 3 degree weather, and managed to take a few cute pictures.

Of course I didn't want pictures of us in snow cloths, so off they came. But we were so cold I told everyone just push your pants down and I will cut them out of the photo. It cracks me up seeing all our pants around our ankles. 

Do we look cold? ...........I love my family for all they put up with. <smile>

Corn Maze

Post Falls does a 5 acre corn maze every year, this was the first time we have all been.

Seven Devil's Mountains in Idaho

These are a little out of order from previous post, but I just realized that I have't posted them. In July we went to the Seven Devil's Mountain range in central Idaho. Breath taking area and a must return! Next time we will have to bring the horses so we can explore all the trails. At the tower you can see 4 states: Idaho, Montana, Washington and Oregon.

We missed exploring with Haylie, she was in Montana for a visit.

Taran and little Miss. Addison's baby shower

I had the wonderful opportunity to host a baby shower for my sister-in-law. I couldn't have been more honored to be part of celebrating the upcoming arrival of my beautiful niece. My wonderful mom did an outstanding job at providing all the scrumptious food and help with the decorations. It all turned out perfect!

The shower was book themed, displaying all our favorite children books and giving Taran a jump start on building her children library.

Instead of receiving cards, guest were asked to bring their favorite book. Addison has lots of fun books to read.

Haylie's Surprise! ( mom and dads too)

Yes that's right folks, we are expecting number two. By now the word has been spread, but I just wanted to share a few photos from our gender reveal party.....okay in truth I am really behind in posting photos. I could blame it on pregnancy exhaustion, but honestly how much energy does it take to blog a new post? Sadly I have no excuse. Let's get down to business then and get everyone updated.

"I'm going to be a big sister!" It took a lot of convincing Haylie that yes we were going to have a baby. 

We had a gender reveal party where everyone found out the gender at the same time. (this picture is proof that Tom and I have big mouths :) )

That looks pretty blue to me. 

We had 3 phones with open lines to out of state family members so they could all celebrate with us. Can you tell that Tom is thoroughly excited that he is having a boy?

Haylie was very set on the fact that it was going to be a girl. When it was announced that it was a boy. I asked Haylie, "What do you think Haylie, your going to have a brother?" she replied, "Well at least the cupcake is good."
